Colleen Duff, RMT
Colleen Duff is a Registered Massage Therapist that has been helping people feel better for over 20 years. After graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1996, she started her practice in Windsor, and then decided to move to the Durham Region and join The Wellness Connection in 1999. Colleen has consistently broadened her knowledge and skills through continued education in a variety of different modalities (techniques), and has a unique perspective on how to best provide therapy to her clients, based on that experience and education. She firmly believes in collaborative treatment with other practitioners, therapist and doctors. Colleen treats all types of injuries, from sports related injuries to chronic pain acquired from the rigours of everyday life. She believes in active lifestyles which include yoga, stretching and strengthening, but when her patients are unable to make the time to maintain their bodies, Colleen is able to help get them moving again!
Sheri Sullivan, RMT
Sheri Sullivan is a registered massage therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming in 2004 and has been practicing at the Wellness Connection for 19 years. Sheri's approach to treatment is individualized and her focus is to work with her patients to improve their quality of life and get them back to proper function. Sheri treats various types of injuries from whiplash to sports related issues as well as providing relaxation treatments. Techniques that Sheri might utilize during treatment include but are not limited to: Swedish, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Deep Tissue Therapy, and joint mobilizations. Sheri is extremely passionate about providing the highest quality of care to her clients and educating them about their bodies. Finding the right combination of modalities is the key to living a pain free and functional life.
Twylla Atkinson, RMT
Twylla is an evidence-based Registered Massage Therapist who graduated in 2006 from CDI College. Twylla's background is in social services where she completed the Human Services Counselor Diploma in 2003. She joined the Wellness Connection as an RMT in February 2007.
Twylla has experience working with clients of all ages on numerous conditions. Every treatment is tailored to meet each of her client’s needs and goals. Twylla practices Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, and instrumented soft tissue therapies (guasha, acupressure). Additionally, she provides recommendations for at home stretching and rehabilitation techniques for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, in order to promote optimal healing. Common conditions treated include pregnancy, sprains, strains, headaches, sports injuries.
